09:31 pm - Isn't it about time
Wow, I finally got off my butt and updating. I may not update, but I still look at my friends and will comment here and there. I guess I feel since I blog my pictures on blogger that I really don't need to update here. Of course that couldn't be further from the truth. Here I can really post about anything that is going on in my mind, where on blogger my whole family reads............ So, there are some things that I really don't care for my mother to read about. And I'm sure there are many things my brother and careless about. Anyway, here I am.
Well, the first cool thing that is going on in my life is that I finally joined Weight Watcher 7 weeks ago and have lost almost 20 pounds. When I walked in for the first time I cried the whole time. Hell, I even cried on the car ride down there. I felt like such a failure because I couldn't lose weight by myself and I couldn't believe I allowed myself to get so big. By the second week I was feeling so much better. I LOVE WW. It doesn't take a genius to know that an apple is better for you that a snickers bar, but WW has giving me the drive to keep going even though I can't stick to anything for more than two weeks. There is something about have to have someone else weigh you every week that makes you stronger. Not to mention every time you lose 5 pounds you get a star sticker by your name and I want to get as many stars as I can get. I love getting stars :) Just so you know, I have worked my butt off to lose those 20 pounds. I exercise everyday and have completely changed my eating habits. I have about 15 more pounds to my pre-preggo weight, but I would like to lose another 20-30 more than that.
Okay, enough about WW................ My little ones are too cute. I'm not kidding when I say my little girl is so pretty. I love when we go to church because she is so pretty in her dresses. She is also started to talk a little bit. She can say no (her favorite), banana, apple, help, hello, Echo (her cousin that baby-sits her) grandpa, grandma, hot and of course, mama and dad. Gabriella is a daddy's girls. She has become very clingy these last couple of weeks. Olsen is still as cute and funny as ever (with the most beautiful eyes). But for some reason he thinks he doesn't have to listen or obey his mother. I swear, no matter how many times he is sent to his room or have a little swat on the behind, he just doesn't seem to get this rule will never change. I have him on a waiting list for a pre-school near by which I think will be good for him. He needs to get out with kids his own age and have fun. I do have play dates for him and he and Gabriella are in a tumbling class, but I think he needs more now.
Oh can you believe that Byron and I will be married for 5 years this June? I am oh so very in love with him. We are hoping that for our anniversary to go to Oahu for the day without the kids. Heck, maybe even stay over night and let the kids stay with grandma and grandpa.
Alrighty, done for now........

10:24 pm - Time for an update
I'm I horrible or what?? (At least I'm not as bad as my husband) I just can't seem to find the time or the drive to update. Oh, but I have time to read all my friends post. :) So many fun and new things happen everyday with the kids and I really should post these cute moments so I can share them with the world. Gabriella is so funny. She now says "ah-oh" and does the cutest thing with her lips. Makes me want to eat her all up. Olsen is so good with his sister and helps her all the time. He also a great baby-sitter because if they are in another room he will come get me if she is doing something naughty. Like, climbing on top of the table, putting something bad in her mouth, or getting into things she shouldn't. He is pretty handy to have around because I think he has saved her more than once. He also comforts Gabriella, gives her hugs and kisses and tells her she's OK if she is sad. I could go on and on about my two little ones.
I LOVE Christmas. I guess I am extra excited this year because I was able to decorate for MY house. Not someone else's house. Make such a difference. We got our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and it is huge. I think it's close to 9'. I have all my decorations up and the house looks so pretty. I need to take picture and post them in our blog soon. For some reason I haven't taken pictures of our tree yet.
Okay, I'm tired. I'm going to bed now.

I would love to see malohi score. I would be surprised if it's 100% . I'm very proud of my score. I would have been less than 10% if I never met malohi. He has taught me much. :)

06:39 pm - Terminix, oh how I love thee
So, while weeding and mowing our yard this weekend, we have a pest control problem. There are roaches, fire ants and about a million other kind of bugs living in our yard. Now don't get me wrong, I know there should be bugs in the garden, but I knew this was not the kind that should be living there. I called Terminix this morning and now I have a man down here power spraying our yard and the perimeter of the house. At first when I was talking to George, he was telling me there are garden roaches and the usually don't come into the house, but stay outside. Well, as we were walking on the grass he takes a closer look at the million bugs and realizes that they are German roaches, the kind that hang out in kitchens. So he says, "yay, you want these gone". Then we keep on walking around and he points to the ants and says "oh, these are fire ants, you want these gone". Byron mentioned that that ants were attacking him and stinging him while mowing yesterday. So I guess this is what happens when you leave a house neglected for 2 years on an island that bugs LOVE to live on.

Hurricane Flossie came and went and we didn't even get a drop of water. South point and Hilo got all the rain and surf, but not much happened here in Kona. I have to say I was a little disappointed that nothing happened. I wanted a little bit of rain and wind. Nothing to bad, but at least a little something. On Monday I went to Costco to get some water, gas and some canned goods. Yes, I was there with the rest of Kona, it was a zoo. I talked with the cashier and she said it was like that all day. You can never be too prepared for a hurricane. After the earthquake last year, Byron and I did some food storage and emergency camping gear. We also have a gas stove now, so even if the power went out, we could still cook. I'm grateful that we don't live in a cold weather climate or it would really suck if we lost power. We don't have to worry about keeping warm.
Okay, so little girl is completely walking now. It is so cute, so looks like a little monkey trying to walk upright. She is doing great though. Well, except for when Olsen pushes her down. It is funny how he doesn't really liking her walking. He is getting better now after being sent to his room a million times.
Lets see, what else, the house still looks like a bomb went off in it, but it is slowly getting better. It just trying to figure out where everything should go. Going from a big house to a smaller house is hard. But so worth it!!
Oh, my sister had her twin boys last month and we are going over to visit her in CA. It actually works out great because Byron friend from college is getting married in two weeks so we are going to go to the wedding then go to my sister house. I can't wait to see all of them. She now hows 5 kids under 6. Yeah, she's a little busy.
Got to go

07:54 am - Moving
We are moving tomorrow!!! I've already moved the kitchen down to the new house and Byron and his dad moved the whole garage down, but I still need to pack the rest of the house. My cute SIL is coming over from Hilo to help me pack. That will be a big help. Also, two nieces are coming over too. I've love the new house, I can't wait for the move to be over. I'm so sick of it already!!
Oh, and little girl is basically walking now. She isn't even 11 months old. It is so cute to see this little person walk.

09:25 pm - Yuck
Okay, I hate Hate HATE medifast. Yes you do lost weight quickly, but the food taste terrible. I've only been on it for 3 days and I'm gagging over all the food. Well, the shakes aren't terrible, they taste like slimfast and the bars are actually pretty good, but boy or boy, all the rest is just gross. I'm going to finish the month I ordered and then stop. I was planning on doing it for 3 months and lose like 50 pounds, but now there is no way. I get sick just thinking about eating food.
Started painting the house today. I love the color of the main room (kitchen, dining and living room) it is called "brown tepee" It's like a light chocolate mocha. Olsen's room is going to be blue and Gabriella's is going to be green with pink accents. Olsen is going to have a very BOY room. We even picked out a rocket ceiling fan...... So cute. And of course Gabriella is going to have a very GIRL room. The guest bath is going to be a dark blue. I saw it in a Pottery Barn catalog and loved it. I just haven't figured out the master bedroom and bathroom. I was wanting to do a brown in there, but since the rest of the house is going to be a brown color I'm not sure anymore. I do now that I want it to be romantic looking. I have some very cool art work I picked up in Egypt years ago that I just had beautifully framed and hanging in our room. I would like to play off that theme. Byron jokes that I want our room to look like a harem, and I say what's wrong with that?

07:00 pm - Day one
So, I start medifast today. I was doing okay, but now I'm starving and it's only 6:30. I can have one more of their meals, but I'm going to wait till 8:00ish before I eat it. I just had a salad and shrimp as my regular meal, so I should be "fine". But I've got 30 years of eating habits to break.
Oh, and choosing paint colors is a pain. I just can't find the colors I have visioned in my head.

10:38 pm - Weight issue
So, I went to the dr. today and got my blood results. I have a thyroid problem and she thinks that is why I'm gaining weight even though I work out and eat pretty good. So I start medication for that tomorrow. I also asked her about medifast and she said it would be great for me. Guess what I did when I got home? Oh, just ordered a month supply. I can't wait for to come already. Hopefully it won't take too long to get to Hawaii. I figure with the medication and this diet I will soon be dropping the weight. I better, or I'm going to be pissed. Some of the success stories I read the people really dropped the weight pretty fast. I do like the idea that I can still have family dinners.
I'll let you all know how it goes once I start. Man, I hope it gets here soon.
